CARMEL – Children of all ages along with their parents and grandparents flocked to Putnam Hospital Center Saturday for the medical facility’s 13th annual Kids Day celebration.
The event held under sunny skies and cool breezes featured a variety of interactive health and safety exhibits and demonstrations interspersed with crafts, games and children’s-themed vendors.
Demonstrations on car seat safety, proper bicycle helmet use and heart monitoring were also featured in addition to a visit from local police, fire and EMS personnel manning equipment.
Michele Piazza, the hospital’s long-time Director of Volunteers who retired last summer returned to the hospital for the event. “What a festive way to celebrate our hospital and safety for all,” she said.
