The Putnam County Legislature declared July 24-29 as Putnam County 4-H Showcase Week

CARMEL – Family fun close to home takes place this month when Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam celebrates its second annual Putnam County 4-H Showcase.

At Tuesday’s regular monthly meeting of the county legislature, the governing body declared the week of July 24-29 as Putnam County 4-H Showcase Week and encouraged residents from throughout the Hudson Valley to learn about the county’s six towns and three villages while viewing educational displays and exhibits created by “many talented young and young at heart residents.”

4-H Cooperative Extension Executive Director Stefanie Hubert said the event showcases the “many interests and accomplishments of Putnam’s children and adults while continuing to grow as an educational, cultural and fun event providing a wholesome family experience.”

The fair opens on Saturday, July 27 at 10 a.m. and continues until 6 p.m. Sunday’s hours will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The showcase will again be held at the Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park at 201 Gipsy Trail Road in Kent Cliffs.
