SPRING VALLEY – The East Ramapo Central School District Board of Education has named Anthony DiCarlo as interim superintendent of schools effective July 1.
DiCarlo retired in June 2022 after service as superintendent of schools in the Mahopac Central School District.
“His proven leadership abilities and visionary approach to public education align perfectly with our district’s priorities,” said East Ramapo School Board President Shimon Rose. He said DiCarlo is “committed to East Ramapo’s mission of creating opportunities for our students and supporting our families.”
Prior to his four-year term as Mahopac superintendent, DiCarlo served as principal of Trinity Elementary School in the New Rochelle City School District.
DiCarlo has also served as a Putnam County legislator and Carmel town councilman.
