CARMEL – A light turnout is expected today in Putnam County as voters go to the polls on Primary Day.
The primary is only for registered Republicans residing in the Town of Patterson and those registered in the Working Families Party countywide.
Working Families Party voters will have the opportunity to vote for Anthony Frascone or Mondaire Jones for the 17th Congressional District seat currently held by Congressman Mike Lawler.
Patterson Republicans can vote for either Laura Russo or Jennifer Bumgarner for the Putnam Legislative seat being vacated by Ginny Nacerino.
Polls remain open until 9 p.m.
