KINGSTON – The Ulster County Clerk’s Office will welcome the Woodstock Museum to the Matthewis Persen House Museum from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, and Thursday, August 8th for a free film screening of “Iroquois Power for the 21st Century.”  The Matthewis Persen House is located at 74 John Street in Kingston.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Woodstock Museum to host this important film series at the Matthewis Persen House,” Ulster County Clerk Nina Postupack said. “It is a wonderful opportunity for our community to learn about the significant impact of the Iroquois in American history and to engage in meaningful dialogue with the filmmakers.”

“Iroquois Power for the 21st Century” offers a compelling look at American history from the Iroquois perspective, shedding light on the crucial contributions and often overlooked role the Iroquois played in helping shape the United States government.
