MONTICELLO – Sullivan County Manager Josh Potosek was granted a new 4 ½ -year contract on Thursday as the county legislature voted seven to two to also raise his salary from $177,000 per year to $195,000. The contract also includes 1.5 percent-per-year raises and a car.
Legislature Chairwoman Nadia Rajsz was one of the ‘no’ votes.
“We have so many employees that really need to have an increase in salary,” she said. “To have them take a look at – and not to say that Josh is doing a bad job, he’s not, he’s doing a good job – however, we’re jumping a huge amount of money.”
The new agreement will run from July 1 of this year to December 31, 2028.
