Bank robbing couple use train for getaway

ARDSLEY – Police in Ardsley were able to arrest a man and woman at the Ardsley-on-Hudson train station shortly after the man held up the Chase Bank branch at 875 Saw Mill River Road just before 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

There were no injuries in the robbery in which the man brandished a gun. The names of the suspects were not released.

The case was turned over to the FBI.

Assisting in the investigation and apprehension were the Westchester Department of Public Safety and RTC, State Police, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Greenburgh Police, Dobbs Ferry Police, Irvington Police, Hastings on Hudson Police and MTA Police.
