MAHOPAC – Next Tuesday at 7 p.m. more than 300 Mahopac High School seniors will enter the school’s athletic field to the cheers of thousands of families and friends to receive their diplomas signifying completion of high school studies.
Members of the high school’s graduating class took a stroll down memory lane Tuesday when they visited their former elementary schools—Austin Road, Fulmar Road or Lakeview Elementary.
The seniors, clad in caps and gowns, were greeted by classes full of fascinated elementary school students.
The grads’ visits to their former elementary schools are an annual rite of passage for Mahopac senior class students.
