MIDDLE HOPE – A woman was rushed to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital late Tuesday morning after she was shot in the Town of Newburgh.
Town and State Police were on the scene investigating what was described as a drive-by shooting in a parking lot south of One Family Deli at Route 9W and Carter Avenue.
Town of Newburgh Emergency Services transported the victim for what was described by first responders at the scene as serious bleeding. Her condition was not immediately known.
There is no word on if a suspect has been identified or taken into custody.
