Early voting in Monticello

MONTICELLO- Early voting throughout the state, and in particular the 100th State Assembly District, began on Saturday.  Registered Republicans who live in the 100th district, which includes portions of Orange and Sullivan Counties can cast a ballot to decide who will be the Republican candidate in the November general election:  Camille O’Brien or Lou Ingrassia.

Sullivan County voters can cast their early ballot at the Government Center in Monticello as well as Sullivan County Public Health in Liberty.  Orange County voters can vote at any of several early polling locations in the county.  Early voting ends on June 23rd.

In Orange County a Conservative primary election is underway for the 42nd State Senate District between Dorey Houle and Timothy Mitts.  Houle ran for the seat in 2022 and is endorsed by the Republican and Conservative parties.  Mitts, a conservative party member, has lodged an outside challenge to appear on the November ballot.

Voters can cast their ballot in person early, by absentee, or on primary election day, Tuesday, June 25th, at their regular polling location.
