SOUTH FALLSBURG – A dispute between a woman and her ex-boyfriend resulted in the man being arrested after the incident became physical, Fallsburg Police said.
The incident occurred on Monday, June 17 at a location on Route 42 in South Fallsburg.
Police learned from the victim that she was allegedly assaulted by James Pugliese. It is alleged that he pushed the woman and grabbed her around the neck with both hands during the dispute.
Pugliese left the scene on foot before police arrived but was located shortly after by State Police.
He was later charged by Fallsburg Police with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation as a misdemeanor.
He was issued an order of protection in favor of the victim and is due back in Fallsburg Town Justice Court at a later date.
