Crawford Police receives State Law Enforcement Accreditation

CRAWFORD – The State Division of Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Accreditation Council awarded the Town of Crawford Police Department a Certification of Accreditation.

The state accreditation program is a voluntary program administered by the State Division of Criminal Justice Services designed to improve an agency’s effectiveness, efficiency and professionalism; promote training and foster public confidence in law enforcement.

Of the more than 500 police agencies in the state, 167 are currently accredited.

Chief Dominick Blasko said the certification recognizes the department’s “commitment in providing the highest level of service to the Crawford community.”

Town Supervisor Charles Carnes said the town board and he “have always had the utmost confidence in our police department and this accomplishment shows the department’s commitment to providing a high standard of service.”
