SAUGERTIES – A 39-year-old Saugerties man was arrested last week after police responded to a report of a man who had sexual contact with a canine. Police responded to the Washington Avenue Extension location around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 to investigate.
Following the investigation, Saugerties police arrested Michael Cook, on misdemeanor charges of sexual misconduct with an animal and criminal mischief.
Cook was arraigned and released on his own recognizance to reappear in court at a later date.
