Suspect arrested in Poughkeepsie shooting – released the same day

POUGHKEEPSIE – City police have arrested a suspect and charged him with several felonies following a shooting at Main and North White Street on Saturday, June 8, 2024.  Twenty-six-year-old Lorenzo Jackson of Poughkeepsie was arrested on Thursday and charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon and the felonies of criminal use of a firearm and reckless endangerment for the noontime shooting of a 23-year-old man last week.

Following arraignment, Jackson was sent to the Dutchess County Jail and then released by court order.
