NEWBURGH – Two Newburgh men, 19-year-old Aden Albino, Yael Garcia, 20, are facing several gun and drug charges after a routine traffic stop by the State Police on Monday.

Members of Troop F’s Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) were patrolling South Street at about 12:55 p.m. when they noticed a 2005 gray Honda Pilot in violation of a traffic law. Troopers stopped the vehicle and while speaking with the driver, Albino, and his passenger, Garcia saw an open can of beer in the vehicle.

Troopers searched the vehicle and located a hidden compartment and a loaded 9mm Polymer 80 Ghost Gun with ammunition under the passenger seat of the vehicle. A K-9 dog searched the vehicle and located approximately one gram of LSD and approximately 562 grams of cannabis. A search of the center console trap revealed four AR-15 full auto switches.

The men are facing several weapons charges, along with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of cannabis.  Albino and Garcia are being held in Orange County Jail.
