POUGHKEEPSIE – The Poughkeepsie Family Partnership has secured just under $5 million to accelerate clean up and renovation of the 110-year-old Family Partnership Center’s building through the US EPA’s Brownfields program, funded by the bipartisan Infrastructure & Jobs Law.

This funding builds on the $1 million in federal money for Family Services secured earlier this year.

All of the funding to date was secured by Senator Charles Schumer and Congressman Pat Ryan.

Poughkeepsie Mayor Yvonne Flowers said the funding to redevelop the facility “will help toward the City of Poughkeepsie’s overall redevelopment plans.”

Leah Feldman, CEO of Family Services, said the “significant investment from the EPA to further our dedication to environmental justice and responsibility (furthers) our commitment to safety and in furthering our mission of creating healthier and safer communities for generations to come.”
