ALBANY – A 26-year-old Cairo man pled guilty in federal court on Wednesday to receipt, distribution, and possession of child pornography.
Drew Caswell admitted that he used file-hosting Meda to download child pornography and then distributed several images and video files by publicly posting them on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He also admitted that on August 7, 2023, he possessed child pornography on his cell phone, including nearly 300 images and videos of toddlers and infants being sexually abused.
Caswell will be sentenced in September and faces five to 20 years in prison, five years to life of post-release supervision and a fine of up to $250,000.
