NEW PALTZ – Former New Paltz town councilwoman Amanda Gotto has been chosen as town supervisor to serve through the end of the year.
The position opened when former Supervisor Neil Bettez resigned abruptly in April.
Gotto was a councilwoman who resigned recently.
Another board member, Alexandra Baer, stepped down last week.
So, at present, there are three board members and the supervisor.
On Wednesday, the town announced a board vacancy, which will be filled by the board for a term ending December 31 of this year.
