MONTICELLO- Memorial Day is an opportunity to honor America’s military men and women who lost their lives in service to their country, and while it is a day dedicated to those who have passed on, the staff at the Sullivan County Veteran Service Agency want to remind all military service members they are a constant resource available to veterans.
Stephen Walsh, a veteran and director of the service agency, spoke about the work he and his staff do on behalf of veterans who live in the county.
”Services we provide for Veterans who are full-time residents of Sullivan County are everything from disability benefits to burial assistance, educational assistance, and job placement services to name a few,” he said.
Walsh also acknowledged that oftentimes, military service members are hesitant to ask for help.
