MONTGOMERY- Montgomery’s Benedict Farm Park is now more accessible following the opening of a handicapped accessible dock and kayak launch. The project, led by Theron Adkins of the Town of Montgomery Recreation Department, allows for the easy transfer of individuals with disabilities into and out of kayaks and canoes.
The new dock is fully equipped with Americans with Disabilities Act compliant railings, safety curbing, ramps, and an easy-to-use transfer bench.
Benedict Farm Park is located at 1675 Route 17K in Montgomery and is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
