ORANGETOWN- Police in Orangetown are investigation a suspicious incident that occurred on South John Street in Pearl River on Friday around 8:51 a.m.
According to police, a 10 year old boy was in his driveway and a vehicle described as a blue sedan pulled up in front of his house heading North on John Street. A white middle age man wearing a blue baseball cap and black pants exited the vehicle and abruptly approached the child. There was no communication or contact between the parties and the boy retreated to his backyard, entered his home, and advised a guardian of what happened. After the boy fled, the vehicle left the scene.
The incident is currently under investigation by detectives at the Orangetown Police Department. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the detective bureau at 845-359-3700.
