KINGSTON – A 28-year-old Kingston man has been charged with promoting prison contraband for hiding items in his rectum.

Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies said on April 2 as Ziare Green was being processed into the facility, corrections officers witnessed Green remove a glass pipe from his rectum.

On the same date at a later time, Green removed an additional item of contraband from his rectum consisting of a plastic bottle containing an unknown liquid.

On May 18, Green was charged with the felony of promoting prison contraband.

He remains in the county jail for an unrelated incident.
