GOSHEN – Orange County Sheriff Paul Arteta and District Attorney David Hoovler have been awarded as Outstanding Law Enforcement Executives by the Detectives Crime Clinic for Metropolitan New Jersey and New York.
The awards acknowledged the joint effort to create the White Collar Crime Task Force as well as both men’s “exceptional contributions to law enforcement, remarkable standard of excellence and commitment to the law.”
The multi-agency task force, which includes investigators from the DA’s and Sheriff’s offices, State Departments of Financial Services and Taxation and Finance, as well as local police in the towns of Newburgh, Warwick and Woodbury, and the villages of Warwick and Goshen, was created in March 20223 to focus on enhancing the investigation and prosecution of public corruption and financial crimes.
