Lawmakers secured transportation study funding.

MIDDLETOWN – The City of Middletown will be using $300,000 in state grant funding to conduct a study into the future of the community campus, formerly the Middletown Psychiatric Center.

Mayor Joseph DeStefano said the study will be conducted by Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress.

“We will be developing a plan for the entire campus and addressing the brownfield issue while undertaking that once this study is done, it should create access to some additional state funding for the redevelopment of that campus,” he said.

The study funding was secured by Senator James Skoufis and Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther.
