CARMEL- Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne has announced the scheduling of his annual ‘Trailblazing with Byrne’ constituent forums.  Each event begins with a scheduled hour of informal discussion about various topics regarding Putnam County.  This is then followed by an hour-long walk along a nearby trail or walking path where some more informal conversation continues, and participants get to enjoy some exercise as they promote healthy living and take in the natural beauty of the area.

This year’s Trailblazing events will feature a number of parks, trails, and preserved open spaces throughout the county.

“I’ve done these forums for several years, even prior to being elected County Executive and they are always incredibly valuable for myself, my office, and I hope, for the residents that attend,” said Byrne.  “I believe its important to meet with constituents face-to-face, update them on the work we’ve done, listen to their concerns, and learn from them about issues that matter most.  And of course, I just enjoy highlighting our beautiful outdoor spaces and promoting healthy living with a fun walk outdoors.”

As he did last year, County Executive Byrne has committed to hosting a constituent forum in each of the six towns in Putnam County.  These are the first three forums, with another three to be announced later this year.
