WAPPINGER- On May 4, 2024, Vinny Colantuono completed the 50-mile Rock the Ridge Ultra Marathon in the NY Mohonk Preserve. He raised over $5,000 to benefit Sheafe Road Elementary school; the money will go toward new equipment and other physical education class needs.
Vinny’s mother is a teacher at the school, and his inspiration.
“My parents have always taught me that nothing extraordinary is done alone, that through service to others, the world can be a brighter place. This 50-mile race is about more than just running,” he said. “I want students to realize that with dedication and self belief, that they too, can succeed and reach their wildest dreams.”
