Here are just some of the golf courses in Orange County:

Hickory Hill Golf Course25 County Park Lane, Warwick, N.Y.: Located in Warwick County Park, this county-owned, 18-hole course features four sets of tees ranging from 5,882 yards to 6,864 yards. It also features a pro shop, 15-station driving range and two putting greens perfect for chipping and putting. New this year: Enjoy great food from American Grill, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The 120-seat banquet hall is available for catered events. Lessons are available. Golf camp is held for junior golfers ages 6 to 14.

Stony Ford Golf Course, 211 Route 416, Montgomery, N.Y.: Open March through November, this county-owned, 18-hole course in Thomas Bull Memorial Park features four sets of tees ranging from 5,504 yards to 6,548 yards. Amenities include a pro shop, a 15-station driving range and a putting green. New this year, enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at American Grill. The 140-seat banquet hall is available for catered events. Lessons are available.

The Lynx at River Bend Golf Club, 87 Neversink Drive, Port Jervis, N.Y.: One of the oldest golf clubs in the country, the Lynx at River Bend was opened in 1915 and designed by A.W. Tillinghast, who is among the greatest American golf course architects. The club stretches over a secluded 125-acre site with the majestic Shawangunk Mountains as a backdrop. Perfect your swing with the state-of-the-art golf simulator.

The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge, 1292 Orange Turnpike, Monroe, N.Y.: The only public Jack Nicklaus-designed course in New York State, the course sits on the rolling hills of a historic 220-acre estate in the Hudson Valley highlands. Landmark buildings on the estate predate the American Revolution. Just starting out in golf? The “Get Into Golf” clinic is designed as a commitment-free way for beginners to try the sport.

Scott’s Corners Golf Course, 1 Golf Course Road, Montgomery, N.Y.: This family-friendly, nine-hole public course offers new greens featuring the latest in bent-grass technology from Rutgers University, which creates a carpet-like texture. Located on 300 acres, the nine-hole course features 3,011 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. The course rating is 70.0 and it has a slope rating of 116. Bring the family or practice for an upcoming tournament in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Winding Hills Golf Course, 1847 Route 17K, Montgomery, N.Y.: The 18-hole executive golf course offers a challenge while providing a relaxing, picturesque backdrop at every hole. Test your accuracy on the plush fairways, water hazards and sand traps. Enjoy the highest quality experience, including exceptional service and a serene atmosphere. Modeled after legendary golf course architect Geoffrey Cornish’s Blue Rock Course on Cape Cod, Winding Hills features 18 holes and provides 2,595 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 57.
