NEW WINDSOR- Town of New Windsor Supervisor Stephen A. Bedetti is proud to announce the launch of the “New Windsor Heroes” Veterans Banner Program.

New Windsor is rooted in rich history and this program will give families and friends a way to honor their loved ones who have or are honorably serving our country. These banners honoring our local heroes will be displayed along the main traffic corridors of New Windsor, starting with Union Avenue by Town Hall. All nominees must have served in a branch of the military and either live or have lived in New Windsor during their life.

“This program has been a goal of mine since I took office in January,” Bedetti said. “These banners will let families honor their loved ones while giving our main traffic corridors a hometown feeling. Honoring New Windsor veterans is always a priority of mine and I look forward to seeing these banners along our roads soon.”

Applications and full program details be found on the Town of New Windsor website at newwindsor-ny.gov. The banners will be printed locally by Signs by Depew and hung by New Windsor employees. The first group of banners is scheduled to be installed this summer.
