WHITE PLAINS – A Peekskill city councilman who filed designating petitions seeking to run for a seat on the Westchester County Board of Legislators in the June 2023 Democratic primary election, was arrested and charged with filing petitions with forged signatures.

Robert Scott, 44, was issued an appearance ticket returnable to White Plains City Court at the end of the month.

It is alleged that on April 10, 2023, Scott filed with the county board of elections designating petitions containing forged signatures of eight people, who told district attorney investigators that they never signed a petition form.

The alleged forged signatures appeared on three of 37 sheets that Scott signed as a witness.
