NEW ROCHELLE – An early morning traffic stop on Main Street in New Rochelle on Saturday resulted in the arrests of the two men inside the vehicle.  New Rochelle Police found the vehicle had a fraudulent temporary tag instead of a properly registered license plate.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found a 9mm Ruger handgun with a large capacity magazine.  As a result, Reiving Rivera-Ramos, 33, and Jenner Garcia, 26, both of Greenbelt, Maryland, were arrested.

They were each charged with criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device.

Rivera-Ramos was also charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.
