GOSHEN – Firefighters rescued a disabled man after his car crashed into a drainage ditch full of water on Route 17M near Duck Farm Road in the Town of Goshen.
Firefighters got a call about a car in some three feet at around 6 a.m. Monday.
They found a Honda SUV about 10 feet down in the ditch.
It took them about 45 minutes to rescue the victim and take him up in a stretcher.
Goshen and Chester firefighters in on the scene said he was conscious and alert. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Town of Goshen Police are investigating the accident.
