NEWBURGH – City police responded to a report of a stabbing on Dubois Street in Newburgh Sunday night just before 9:20 p.m.
The first officers to arrive at 93 Dubois Street located two victims with what has been described as “life-threatening injuries.”
Police on the scene requested that EMS ambulances be expedited while other officers began to establish a crime scene. A description of a black male with dreadlocks was provided to officers and an extensive search of Downing Park for the suspect was conducted.
A medivac helicopter landed across the street on the roof of the hospital’s parking garage.
