CARMEL – Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne has appointed Bob Cuomo as the county’s director of Emergency Medical Services.
He previously held the post from 1997 to 2018.
His return to county government “is a testament to his unwavering commitment to public safety and emergency response,” said Byrne.
Bob Lipton, the county’s commissioner of the Bureau of Emergency Services, said Cuomo’s return “brings a steady hand to our EMS operations.
In his new position, Cuomo will be responsible for the oversight of county EMS agencies, EMS education programs, and training initiatives.
