POUGHKEEPSIE – A 45-year-old Poughkeepsie man accused of selling drugs is facing additional charges, according to the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.  Parrish Beverly was charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance after the task force raided an apartment on South Clinton Street last week.

Parrish stands accused of selling fentanyl on a widespread basis.  During the raid, 19 people were removed from the apartment, that was used as a “drug den”, where users could purchase and use narcotics.

Detective Sergeant Adam Harris, the coordinator of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force said “My team takes all complaints seriously however, any complaint of violence associated with the sale of dangerous drugs like fentanyl will always be a priority for us, as shown by the quick response in apprehending this subject.”

Members of the neighborhood indicated that Beverly had threatened to harm them if they interfered with him.

During the March 7, 2024 raid, two “visitors” of the target apartment were chastised by a neighbor after one visitor was calling out to her boyfriend – who was being taken into custody.
