HOWELLS- The Howells Fire Company #1 will be hosting a Blood Drive on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Howells Firehouse located at 26 Elm Street in Howells.
This blood drive is being held to celebrate the life of Past Chief John Stephens.
The department’s last blood drive, which was held in October, collected over 35 pints of blood.
Past Chief Stephens was a 37-year active member of the Howells Fire Company #1. He served as President of the company and was one of the department’s most active firefighters and drivers at the time of his passing.
Past Chief Stephens was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away on June 5, 2023.
