YONKERS – The Yonkers Police Department has arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man on Mount Carmel Place that occurred earlier this week.

Just before 5 p.m. on Monday, February 26, police received a report of an injured man in a vehicle in the area of Willow Street and Mount Carmel Place.

Officers found a man identified as Francisco Gordillo, 51, of Yonkers, who had been shot in the head while inside a red pickup truck.

The investigation determined Gordillo was in his truck with several people he knew. An argument ensued between Gordillo and one of the others, later identified as Ludvin Ramos-Cervantes, 18 of Yonkers, who left, returned with a gun, and shot the victim to death.

Ramos-Cervantes was arrested later the same day and charged with murder.
