NEW ROCHELLE – A Mount Vernon man has been charged with felony assault for allegedly punching another man in the face while at the New Rochelle train station.

Police said the suspect, Troy Williams, 41, approached a 65-year-old man and asked if he had any money. When the victim told me he didn’t, Williams punched him in the face and fled.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for injuries to his face and head.

Police developed leads and arrested Williams about an hour later when he returned to the train station.
