HUDSON – Assemblywoman Didi Barrett (D, Hudson) has secured a $125,000 grant for Friends of the Public Square Hudson to renovate the Seventh Street Park – The Public Square – in Hudson.  The funds will be used for benches, picnic tables, drinking fountains, and support for the park’s Veterans memorial.

“Preserving and rejuvenating open space like this, particularly in a dense city like Hudson, is a win-win for our community,” Barrett said.  The Public Square Park holds a number of events, including weekly farmers market, rallies, and the annual Hudson Winter Walk.

The Friends of the Public Square Hudson is a non-profit organization formed by a group of residents to rejuvenate the park, in cooperation with the City of Hudson.
