HILLCREST – Police are investigating a reported fatal shooting in the Hillcrest area of the Town of Ramapo.
Shots rang out on Inwood Drive shortly before 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
The victim is reported to be a woman who was rushed to the hospital in grave condition.
Police and detectives from the Ramapo Town Police and Rockland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, closed off the street, took pictures and collected evidence.
The shooting is believed to be domestic in nature.
There was no immediate word on the suspect’s relation to the victim, if any suspect is in custody.
