Pleasant Valley man facing several felonies after domestic violence incidents

PLEASANT VALLEY – A Pleasant Valley man is facing several felony charges after a series of violent domestic incidents that seriously injured the victim.  Following a joint investigation by the State Police, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, and the Town of Poughkeepsie police, 43-year-old Thomas Zemko turned himself into state troopers on January 29, accompanied by his attorney.

The police investigation determined that Zemko engaged in a series of physical domestic incidents that resulted in the victim being abused and assaulted, producing serious physical injuries.

Zemko is charged with four felony counts of assault, five felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, felony unlawful imprisonment, and misdemeanor menacing.

The suspect was arraigned before the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail, $200,000 bond, or $400,000 partially secure bond.
