Grahamsville firefighter seriously injured after being struck by fire engine

WEST SHOKAN – A firefighter with the Grahamsville Fire Company was reportedly struck by a Grahamsville fire engine at a call near 632 Watson Hollow Road in West Shokan on Wednesday Afternoon.  Fire officials at the scene requested a medevac helicopter at 2:51 p.m. to transport the injured firefighter.

The Olive Fire Department was requested to set up a landing zone at Lester Davis Park in West Shokan.

Radio transmissions indicate that no medevac helicopters were available to assist the injured firefighter.

No additional information has been released.
