CARMEL – Putnam County government and its 2-member – soon to be 26 member – Putnam Management Association have reached a four-year contract.

The agreement covers compensation, benefits, holidays, and other items replated to the union covered employes through December 31, 2027.

County Executive Kevin Byrne said the pact is “a fair and responsible contract for both our public employes and our taxpayers.”

“Our negotiations went quite smoothly and swiftly because each party had respect and realistic expectations that resulted in a fair and reasonable outcome,” said union President Shawn Rogan.

The county legislature is the final step in approval of the new union contract.
