Center for Discovery names new CEO

Dr. Theresa Hamlin

HARRIS – Dr. Theresa Hamlin has ben named CEO of The Center for Discovery in the new year.

The facility board chose her in October 2023 to succeed Patrick Dollard, now a senior advisor to the organization.

Hamlin joined the center in 1983 and was named president in 2020.

“There is no one better to lead The Center at this critical moment in our history than Dr. Terry Hamlin,” said Center Board Chairman Ed Sweeney.

She currently serves as vice chairwoman of the SUNY Sullivan Board of Trustees and was appointed to the Healthcare Workforce Industry and Innovation Workgroup for the state.

Hamlin is also a representative to the state’s Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council.
