Jersey man arrested for Putnam County residential burglary

A 38-year-old Monticello woman has been arrested for being in possession of multiple handguns on the campus of Liberty High School last week.

CARMEL – A 23-year-old Haledon, New Jersey man has been arrested on burglary charges stemming from a residential break-in at a home on Route 9D in the Town of Philipstown.

Steven Moye was arraigned and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

The burglary occurred around midnight on August 3, 2022 and through video footage and DNA evidence, Moye was identified as a person of interest.

On December 14, investigators from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office learned he was to be in White Plains City Court on an unrelated matter. He was taken into custody there.
