MID-HUDSON – There wasn’t any area of the Hudson Valley or Catskills that escaped the wrath of Monday’s torrential rains and flooding.

Trees came down bringing power lines with them and roads flooded out, in some cases stranding motorists in their vehicles.

Across the region, there were flash flood warnings.

At about 10:45 a.m., the roof over the loading dock on the west side of a building at 25 Renwick Street collapsed under the weight of water trapped on the roof from the downpour.

The collapse broke the sprinkler four-foot feeder pipe causing the rest of the structure to be flooded.

No injuries were reported in that storm-related incident.
