MONTICELLO- Resorts World, in a continued demonstration of its year-round commitment to honoring veterans, hosted the Luncheon of Honor on Sunday, December 3rd, at Resorts World Catskills (RWC). The event, led by the Hudson Valley Honor Flight, saw a remarkable turnout with nearly 600 people in attendance, marking a significant increase from last year’s luncheon.

“We’re thrilled to witness such an incredible turnout at the Lunch of Honor. It’s nothing short of amazing to see the community come together to honor our veterans,” said Meghan Taylor, Resorts World Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Relations. “Resorts World is truly honored to be a dedicated partner in recognizing and celebrating those who have bravely served our nation. This event reflects our commitment to positively impact the lives of veterans, and we look forward to continuing these meaningful partnerships in the future.”

The Lunch of Honor brought together veterans, including those from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, along with their families. RWC’s Epicenter was a fitting venue for the occasion, as guests lunched and danced to the uplifting sounds of The Big Band Sound, a 20-piece orchestra.

Sunday’s lunch reflects Resorts World’s initiatives to support veterans throughout their year. From the $5,000 donation to My Brother Vinney, which helps furnish homes for veterans, to contributing over 850 retired card decks to the local Elks Lodge, Resorts World continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who have served.

Additional highlights of Resorts World’s commitment include:

  • Wall of Honor at Resorts World New York City (RWNYC), Resorts World Catskills (RWC), and Resorts World Hudson Valley (RWHV) in which employees submit photos of their relatives, friends, or themselves while serving.
  • A Genting Rewards discount program for active service members and veterans, which includes an automatic upgrade to Silver card level.  For more information, CLICK HERE
  • RWC hosted the Monster 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk, which is organized by the Monticello Rotary to benefit the Sullivan County Veterans Coalition.  More than $10,000 was raised and team members from all three New York properties took part in the run.
