BEEKMAN – Sunday’s storm is being blamed for blowing the roof off of a mobile home on Arkell Road in Beekman late Sunday night. The call for assistance was received at approximately 11:18 p.m.
Fire officials determined the building was unstable and requested assistance from the Red Cross.
The police were summoned to the scene because the occupants of the mobile home in the Pine Grove Trailer Park refused to leave the eight pet cats unattended in the roofless dwelling.
