Three jail inmates arrested in new charges

POUGHKEEPSIE – Three individuals incarcerated in the Dutchess  County Jail have been arrested by the sheriff’s office in separate incidents at the Poughkeepsie facility.

Patrick Curran, 38, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on December 1 and is accused of manufacturing a weapon out of a toothbrush. He has been charged with promoting prison contraband.

Urijah Johnson, 21, of Poughkeepsie, was also arrested on December 1 and is accused of attacking another inmate on November 19. He has been charged with felony assault. The victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack.

Jalil Smith, 35, of Poughkeepsie, was also arrested on December 1 and is accused of attacking another inmate on November 28. Smith was charged with felony assault. The victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
