POUGHKEEPSIE-  Premier Cares Foundation is excited and honored to announce its upcoming White House Dinner fundraising event.  On Friday, December 1, 2023, White House Chef Guy Mitchell and his assistant, Petty Officer Michael “Woody” Raber will regale attendees with entertaining stories of their time in the White House, a cooking demonstration of one First Lady’s favorite dessert, and walk diners through each course of a Presidential meal.   The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Vassar College Alumnae House in Poughkeepsie.

Culinary Institute of America graduate, Chef Guy Mitchell has an impressive career that includes not only his tenure as a White House chef under several presidents, but also his distinguished role as Head Chef for the Philadelphia Eagles.  He and Chef Woody Raber bring a wealth of experience and a passion for culinary artistry that is second to none.  The guest chefs have teamed up with renowned local caterer, Bruce Kazan of Main Course in New Paltz.  Together, this team of culinary superstars will present an unforgettable evening that will not only tantalize taste buds, but will warm hearts and raise funds for local patients in need.

The evening will begin with a beautiful spread of hors d’oeuvres, signature drinks and live music during cocktail hour.  From there, guests will experience a locally sourced, 4-course Presidential dinner while listening to captivating stories from Chef Mitchell’s time in the White House.  A silent auction will be available throughout the evening full of decadent items and fabulous experiences.  The grand finale is a lively demonstration showcasing how Chef Mitchell created the favorite dessert of a former First Lady.

The funds raised from this event will benefit the Premier Cares Foundation “Care Fund” which helps local, low-income Hudson Valley patients receive support while they battle serious illnesses such as prostate cancer, colon cancer and other serious diseases.  Funds are provided to ease the financial burden that a serious diagnosis can bring so they can focus on getting well.  Additionally, this event will allow Premier Cares Foundation to continue offering its ongoing Prostate Cancer Support Group, the only one of its kind in the Hudson Valley.  Premier Cares Foundation is a non profit 501(c)3 organization.

Tickets for the White House Dinner are $250 per person and must be purchased in advance.  Tickets are available online at www.premiercaresfoundation.org.  Seating for this event is limited to 100 guests and will sell out.  Don’t miss this opportunity to hear behind the scenes stories from the White House and enjoy a truly spectacular dining experience.
