NEWBURGH- Celebrating 25 years of serving the community, Newburgh Loaves & Fishes, Inc., a not-for-profit organization since 1998, provides over 1,000 families in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District with a turkey and groceries for a Thanksgiving dinner.
Due to the continued rise in food costs and the increase in food insecurity for families in this district, they are expecting a 20 percent increase of families in need of a Thanksgiving basket. The estimated cost for a turkey and Thanksgiving basket is $50 per family.

The organization is also accepting fresh or frozen whole turkeys and Thanksgiving grocery items (stuffing mix, instant potatoes, rice, beans, gravy, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, yams, and fruit) on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Deacon Jack Seymour Food Pantry at the Sacred Heart School located at 301 Ann St, Newburgh, NY.
All donations are used to provide a Thanksgiving basket for families in need.
